Where can I find a copy of the FCAT Terms?
You can view them on this web site, or you can obtain a hard copy from Mrs. Cox in class.
Do you ever offer any extra credit?
Yes! Extra credit is offered at least once during each nine week session. Sometimes it is offered more than once.
Do we have to keep a journal even AFTER the FCAT test in March?
Yes! Make sure to keep your journals up-to-date each school day. Always write the quote and respond to the writing prompt. If you are absent, make sure to check the binder that your class secretary writes in daily. There is no reason to ever miss a day in your journal.
What are we going to do in class AFTER the FCAT Test?
We are going to have a lot of fun reading books such as Start Something by Tiger Woods. We will also read the book Life is Funny by E.R. Frank. This book was the winner of the Teen People Book Club NEXT Award as well as A Book Sense Top Ten Teen Selection. We will also be working on study skills, and critical thinking skills that will help you prepare for the SAT Exam.
Do we have any homework after FCAT?
Yes! Just like before the test, you are to READ at least 45 minutes each night. Make sure to read something that YOU enjoy so reading is a pleasure. You will have additional homework periodically.
