Fashion 4 Life |

This is one of our biggest events this year! We will be hosting a fashion show featuring local celebrities and wardrobe & jewelry from local boutiques. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Breast Cancer research. click here for more info |

Chinese Festival |

 |
This is one of the P.R.I.D.E. Presents events, which take place about every two months, and we had Rena Wang teach the students of Cypress Bay the meaning of Chinese culture, giving them interesting facts. The students also learned how to write their names in Chinese, while enjoying typical Chinese snacks.

Latinos Seminar |

This Broward-wide seminar took place on September 21, 2005 at the Cypress Bay Auditorium, Media Center, and Cafeteria. This was our first seminar of the year and more than three hundred students and parents attended.

Carwash |

 |
This was P.R.I.D.E.’s first fundraiser of the year. P.R.I.D.E. members had a great time while working hard to clean more than 20 cars on September 17, 2005.

College Fair |

This was part of the Broward Latinos Seminar hosted by P.R.I.D.E. club. Various colleges came to provide information about their institutions for student and parents.

FCAT Sin Barreras / FCAT Seminar |

On January 11, 2006 Mrs. Ramirez; Ms. Ribeiro, Assistant Principal, and Mrs. Kirschner, Department Chair of Foreign Languages and P.R.I.D.E. Sponsor, presented tips and facts about the FCAT exam to parents and students and had parents take a mock FCAT test. This was a mandatory meeting for parents of ESOL students.

Hard Rock Winter Fest |

At this event, P.R.I.D.E. members volunteered at kids' booths painting faces and entertaining young guests. This also doubled as a social since members enjoyed the many booths and great music and atmosphere.

Hispanic Unity |

|
 |
P.R.I.D.E. members went to Hispanic Unity to spend some time with the Elderly.
NHS members collected and wrapped Christmas presents for the elders and P.R.I.D.E. members distributed them, danced with, and served the elders’ lunch.

Italian Cuisine Presentation |

|
 |
This was one of our “P.R.I.D.E. presents” events celebrating Italian Heritage month. Mr. Porrotto cooked a delicious Italian meal for the students while recounting stories about his life and anecdotes from war.

Northern Trust Bank Social |

 |
This was a social event for board members of P.R.I.D.E. where the officers celebrated their hard work for the first semester.

P.R.I.D.E. & Parents Event |

 |
An idea to get parents involved in P.R.I.D.E. Members wanted parents to experience the life of a hardworking club member while enjoying the activities and events that the club offered.

Christmas Around the World Festival |

 |
In this event members of different cultural clubs joined us to enjoy the Winter Holidays. The Italian, Japanese, Spanish, SHOA, and Chaverim Clubs told us a little bit about their celebrations

La Boheme Social |

|
 |
The opera came to the Bay! The actors of this production performed an excerpt from La Bohème and told the students at Cypress Bay about the acting experience and the history behind the opera.

Diversity Talent Show |

The third annual Diversity Talent Show was an event to appreciate the diverse talents of our school. This year the show adopted an international Airport theme since Cypress Bay has a great cultural variety. The winner received a $100 check and the proceeds went to P.R.I.D.E. scholarships.
